Map of Gettysburg battlefield.

This map appeared in the July 6th 1863 edition of the New York Daily Herald. Pretty accurate for two days after the battle.

Pretty cool map, & articles, I would have sprang for a paper back then! BTW how much were most newspapers back then? {5 to 10 cents?)

PS I also heard newspapers were a great source of enemy intelligence back then? Lee was probably an avid reader!?
