 | | Lee`s Gettysburg retreat | | Posted on: 8/30/2009 7:21:39 AM | I`m planning on a driving tour from Gettysburg going only as far as Falling Waters.Can anyone tell me if this route is easy to follow? I`d like to go through Leitersburg,Hagerstown,Jones`Crossroads,site of the wagoners` battle and of course the Potomac river crossing.I`m wondering about signage to help get through what appears on the map to be some obscure rural roads.

you should probably get Wittenberg/Petruzzi/Nugent book on the retreat - "One Continuous Fight" it includes 2 driving tours with GPS of the retreat and the wagon train of the wounded.
Also, a great book.
