A sad day
Posted on: 1/22/2013 1:17:14 AM
On this day in 1879 Queen Victoria's army met with one of its greatest tragedies, the battle of Isandlwana. This battle still raises son many questions, and will continue to do so for years. I had the privilege to visit the site late last year and it was an experiance I shall never forget.

RIP lads,

Cheers,

Well said.

My thoughts are with the many men of both sides who fought and fell on that awful day.

I'll post more on the anniversary of the Battle of Rorke's Drift.

Regards,

Colin

Although it had a number of inaccuracies, "ZULU" remains one of my favorite movies.

Sad day. Glorious day. Rather depends upon which side of the spy glass one is looking through.

Maybe both sad and glorious from both sides of the spy glass.

Cheers
