Certainly looks and sounds the Bizz but :-

The Tiger I gave the Wehrmacht its first armoured fighting vehicle (AFV) which mounted the KwK 36 88-mm gun (not to be confused with the 8.8 cm Flak 36). Only 1,347 were built between August 1942 and August 1944. Production was phased out in favour of the Tiger II.

While the Tiger I has been called an outstanding design for its time, it was over-engineered, used expensive materials and labour-intensive production methods.

The Tiger was prone to certain types of track failures, and was limited in range by its high fuel consumption. It was expensive to maintain, but generally the engine was mechanically reliable.

Regards
Jim

Tiger 131 is also a Hollywood film star with a leading role in the film "Fury".

Tiger 131 was captured by the British in North Africa when its turret was jammed by a hit from a 6 pounder armed Churchill tank.

Ps: The film "Fury" overplays the strength of the Tigers armour in the film, as the 76mm armed Sherman's should have been able to penetrated its frontal armour at the close range shown.

R-C, maybe that was another bit of 'movie license' to demonstrate 'Tiger angst'..

Perhaps they ought to have got this one [Read More] to do it, instead...
