What do the lyrics from "The Music man" and the location of this monument have in common? (actually, "The Music man" provides two clues).
(There are four clues in this post)

Nope, got me on this one. There is very little in the "Indiana monuments" folder in the park library, and Indiana didn't do a state commission report. Maybe a unit history for the 19th would reveal their thoughts. Opps..... did I give it away?

The trick now is for someone to go back and explain all of the clues provided.
And I have to go back to the message folder to see who was first...
Cheers and stay tuned, Ed

Here's my clue explanation:
"will he be" able to "run" = willoughby run
I can also explain Bill's first set - I particularly liked them!
Quote:I agree Ed, give it a while, after all its only been up for One Day and Tomorrow is another clue.
What do the lyrics from "The Music man" and the location of this monument have in common? (actually, "The Music man" provides two clues).
One Day = first day Tomorrow = 19th Music Man lyrics = written by "Meredith" Willson and contains the song "Gary, Indiana"
And 1:11 referred to 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 1st Corps
I'll admit that the "tomorrow" had me thinking for a few minutes until I figured out what day it was...it's been a rough couple of days.
I am eagerly looking forward to the new post!
Pat
P.S. I hope this doesn't make me look like too much of a smarty pants!

Meredith Wilson - the monument is on Meredith Avenue.
Quote:I think Ed should post another clue at 1:11 on the 19th.
19th - It's the19th Indiana
1:11 - FirstCorps, First Division, First Brigade

(Ed -civilwarguiyincanada) Surely there's others who recognize the eyes and ears in this photo. Steve? Pat? Jim S.? Randy? Ginny? I could add a dozen more names of folks who should know this one. Lets go everyone look again and lets hear your guesses. Am I going to have to start with the offbeat clues? (Actually I have a bunch of photo clues lined up.)

Ed "Civilwarguyincanada" The monument in question is: Andrew's Sharpshooters (2nd Co. Mass., USSS)
Here's the full frame photo:

Here's another view:

How many, like me, thought that the soldier's gun had been broken off by vandals, when they viewed this monument for the first time? Later I learned (and I hope everyone else has as well) that the monument was made with a truncated weapon due to the size of the block of stone from which it was sculpted.
Ed, prich, mark leik, and gettysburgerrn all PM'd me with the correct answer (in that order). From his posts I assume that Steve F knew the answer as well.
OK Ed, Your turn.
