In August 1864 he is on detached duty as a company cook. In Oct. 1864 he is admitted to the hospital at Howard Grove, Va., Ubknown dx. Dec. 1864 promoted to 3rd Corporal and to 2nd Corporal in Feb. 1865.

He was married to Matilda Walker, d/o Solomon Walker of Lowndes Co.,Ga.He is buried with his wife at the Old Walker Cemetery, Lamont,Fl.
