Name: John A.J. LyellRank: Private Company: A
Born in Washington County Texas 1839. Enlisted May 12, 1862 and was on the roll until close of the War. Discharged in Hempstead Texas 1865. Died Texas Confederate Home in Austin TX December 22, 1928. Buried in North Belton Cemetary, Belton TX.

I'm just becoming interested in this side of my 'tree'. Any specific information on my ancestor's (great grandfather) service would be greatly appreciated. He is also listed in Co. D on some of the information I have located. Also, there was a George W Lyell in the 17th A and 16th B. What was his relation to John? Would anyone have pictures of Company A?
