Name: Thomas B TallmadgeRank: Sergeant Company: B

My ancestor died in New Orleans in 1862. He left behind a w ife and three children .Like many of his comrades in arms he was stricken by yellow fever while working on the ill fated Vicksburg canal project. Many a good man was used up providing service that made little or no sense. It is so today as it was then.To do ones duty has always been the emark of the real heroes in our past, and in the present. We should learn from our history , but seems we make the same mistakes with our gallant forces in every generation.
