He was my g, grandfather and he was the historian of Co.D., His book has the complete 114 name roster plus others from Calhoun County that joined after Co.D reached Virginia. he died in 1925. Co. D. was trained, for 2 days by the '' Gallant'' John Pelham. The book is '' I saw an Elephant'' ( meaning '' I Saw the Enemy ''.
