“Well Known Civil War Veteran Passed Away in New London. Captain Albert E. Daniels, who died at his home in New London Saturday, was captain of Company H, Eleventh Connecticut Volunteers, which served in the Burnside expedition so creditably. Captain Daniels was engaged in the battles of Roanoke Island, Newbern, Balls Bluff, Malvern Hill, Fredericksburg, Lookout Mountain and Petersburg.
