29th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company H, fought in battles at Resaca, Ezra Church, Kennesaw, Peachtree Creek, Chattahoochie, finger shot off in Atlanta, went to Franklin, shot in jaw at Nashville, went on to Bentonville and later surrendered at Durham Station, less than 90 of 1100 of the 29th surrendered at Durham Station, April 25th, 1865, he died in 1907 and buried at Tabernacle Methodist Church, Lawley, Al.
