Found this Gem today while looking for information on Tennessee troops at Gettysburg. Slightly distorted reporting. From the Daily Southern Chronicle. Knoxville Tennessee. July 7, 1863

"Slightly distorted" indeed.

It makes the head spin : this is a rebel newspaper citing comments from a yankee rag.

There’s a degree of accuracy, too : the two yankee Corps being defeated and a fairly even balance of slaughter between the two sides. General Reynolds killed ; hundreds of rebels captured from Archer’s Brigade . Not too distorted in those depictions.

Regards, Phil
