Price escaped Union capture in 1861 and reenlisted with the 33rd NC Infantry as a Private. Lost one leg. Reassigned to the Invalid Corps in late 1864-early 1865--Captain (rank out). Survived the war. Originally from Rocky Mount, Price married ? Lacey; relocated to White, Arkansas; and fathered seven - nine children--2 males. Desendent surnames: Price, Woods, Martin, Freeland, Mack. A 1 page post war memoire recounts Civil War highlights before reassigned to the Invalid Corps in 1864-5. Grandson Price Woods, USN, KIA 1943-44, WW2 Destroyer. Grandson Guy Thomas Freeland, USA, KIA 1964, Viet Nam.
