James B. Nash Residence Gwinnett County GA; Enlisted on 3/4/1862 as a Private. On 3/4/1862 he mustered into 'B' Co. GA 42nd Infantry He was Surrendered on 4/26/1865 at Greensboro, NC He was listed as: * POW 7/4/1863 Vicksburg, MS * Paroled 7/6/1863 Vicksburg, MS James B. Nash enlisted as a Private in Company B, 42nd Georgia Infantry March 4, 1862 at Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County, Georgia, for 3 years or during the war, captured at Vicksburg, Mississippi July 4, 1863, paroled July 6, listed present at Blackie Hospital, Madison, Georgia March 1864, admitted C. S. A. General Hospital, No. 11, Charlotte, North Carolina, March 2, 1865, Catarra, returned to duty March 8, paroled at Greensboro, North Carolina May 1, 1865, his record contains correspondence between the Adjutant General, War Department with the Commissioner of Pensions, Georgia, dated April 19, 1915 which would indicate either he or his widow filed for a Confederate pension.
