Comments:
This is my Great Grand father Born Jun 9, 1822, in Chester, South Carolina to Robert C. and Ann Wilson Miller. The family moved to Newton County Georgia in the winter of 1825/26. After the death of Robert C., in 1849, Ann moved with her seven sons to Dekalb County to what is now Doraville and Norcross. The oldest son John W. was too old to serve but did serve in the home guard. Grand father was the last of the sons to enlist as a private on July 31, 1863. He was killed in Spotsylvania Court House, VA on May 18, 1864. The last days or hours of that bloody battle. Robert W. Miller married Jane L. Johnson on May 15, 1845. He was the father of 10 children. Nine grew to adulthood. The twin boy, to my grand father William Bryce Miller, died a few hours after birth on November 12, 1862. Bryce first married Lara Minor on Jan 5, 1887 and in 1889 moved to Morgan County, Alabama after the death of Lara He married my grand mother Mary Brischo Dial April 25 1897. Most of his descendants still live in and around Morgan County Alabama.
