Looking for anything on the history of this unit before its consolidation into the 4th....My GGGrandfather Phillips was from St Clair county Mo(Osceola MO) He first served in the Mo state guard with Price... When it disbanded he left Mo and enlisted at Bayou de View, Arkansas, March 1, 1862; age 29; elected first lieutenant, May 26, 1862; wounded in the left arm on a scout, August 20, 1862; left at Barboursville, Kentucky, August 29, 1862, and captured; sent to Cincinnati, Ohio; exchanged, October 20, 1862; absent wounded in Arkansas, February 28, 1863; dropped from the rolls, April 30, 1863....Anything more about him or this unit would be greatly appreciated
