Israel is my great-great grandfather. He was born in Pennsylvania in 1837 and relocated to Stephenson County Illinois in the early 1850s. He was a wheelwright and mechanic who worked on and made wagons. He returned to Stephenson County until he died in 1905.

Wounded at Shiloh, mustered out 12 July, 1862. Re-enlisted, K co. 46th Illinois Inf.

For brothers see also David Jerome Warner; K co. 46th Illinois Inf. and Daniel Warner; 12th Iowa Inf.

All three at Shiloh. William wounded in arm and leg, Daniel caputred and died of disease in Macon, GA., and David served through to mustering out at Baton Rouge, LA.

Jonathan Blair - Sergeant
My Great Great Grandfather Jonathan Blair enlisted at age 41 and left his wife and 6 children on the farm in Clay Co., Illinois. He trained at Camp Butler near Springfield and was engaged with the 46th Ill. at the Battle of Ft. Donelson in Tenn. He also fought at Shiloh, but contracted chronic dysentery and died at home in Illinois on August 24, 1862.
