Company E
William Hezekiah LeMaster - Private
William H. LeMaster of the 29th Illinois Infantry Regiment was my great grandfather. He and his older brother, Sam, were Unionists and natives of Lauderdale County, Alabama.
The reason for our closeness in the family tree is because William fathered several children late in his life, and my grandfather was second-to-last. William and Sam are buried in the old Methodist cemetery in Green Hill, Alabama.
