Thorton C. Creager was born in Ohio and later moved to Linn Co., Kansas. He was in Co. K., 6th Kansas Militia and fought in the Battle of Mine Creek in 1864 -- the only battle on Kansas soil between regular Union and CSA soldiers as well as the Kansas Militia. He survived and is buried in Linn Couty, Kansas.

William A McIntosh joined Co. I, 6th Kasnsas Cavalry Militia in March of 1862 after being mustered out from the 6th Kansas Volunteers. He fought at the Battle of the Big Blue, Battle of Westport, Battle of Mine Creek and at the Mrias des Cygnes River on October 22-25, 1864.
