Charles W Rust - Unknown
|
I have a letter that C.W. Rust, my gggf wrote to his Mother in August 1864 before Atlanta. His leg was amputated as a result of injuries sustained during the war. He lived to an old age and we have a picture of him both in his Civil War uniform and in a wheelchair in later years, along with the letter that was held together with a small nail. It is 5 handwritten pages.
