Anderson Minton and his brothers, William, Hardin (Henry) P., and Alexander, enrolled in Company A, 27th Regiment, Kentucky Volunteers on 20 October 1861 at Leitchfield, Grayson County, Kentucky to serve 3 years. He was mustered in as a private on 21 March 1862.

Anderson Minton was wounded in action at the battle of Bean''s Station in Grainger County, Tennessee, during the Knoxville Campaign on 14 December 1863 and died in the regimental hospital the same day along with approximately 1,600 other American soldiers (700 US and 900 Confederate).

I would like to know any other info on Isaiah Henson. He is listed on the 1890 Veterans Schedule in Wright County Missouri and says he was disabled his name was spelled Isara. Gives his enlistment date of July 1862 but no discharge info. He was born and raised in Casey County Kentucky with his father Elisha Henson and Mother Elizabeth Clifton (he had another wife by the name of Elizabeth Hardin). Married to Rachel Price. Died and buried in Mansfield, Missouri.

My great-great grandfather was Mathew Weatherington, who died in Nov 1863 during the Battle of Knoxville, TN. He is buried in the National Cemetery there. Does anyone have a picture of Mathew or the 27th infantry? I have a picture of the flag-bearer but not much more. Thanks for your help!
