Company E
Samuel O. Pease - Private
The only information I have about his Civil War service so far is the following:
Samuel O. Pease in the Civil War joined Company E of the 19th Maine Infantry Division as a Private. I have not yet found the date of his joining, but I will continue to search for it.

He was captured at the Mattapony River, Virginia, on 21 May 1864 (as part of Grant's 'Overland Campaign' to get past Lee to Richmond) and was sent to the infamous Andersonville Prison in Andersonville, Georgia. He died at Andersonville, just three months after his capture, on 21 August 1864 from 'Debilitas,' which is probably debility brought on by starvation and lack of medical care.
