One of three brothers to serve during the war. After serving nine months with the 28th Maine, Stillman Robinson enlisted in 'B' Company of the Maine Coast Guard Battalion. He served for an additional year plus at Fort Foote near Wahington DC.

He was born in Madrid circa 1839, was 6''1'' tall, had a light complexion, gray eyes and dark-colored hair. He served in the 28th Maine until August 31, 1863 and was honorably discharged.
