Mustard out 3 August 1865. Born in Straw Vermont about 1830.

Daniel W. McCONNELL was the youngest son of my great great grandfather, Thomas H. McCONNELL, of Sparta, MI. Both men served in the Civil War -- Thomas in the 10th Cavalry and Daniel in the 1st MI Artillery. Thomas died in early 1863 and is buried in the National Cemetery in Knoxville, TN.
The McCONNELLs came to Michigan from Philadelphia, PA area in the 1840s. Thomas' father-in-law was a SPANGENBERG. I'm looking for any relatives of mine.

From Dover, Michigan was 27 years old when he Enlisted on August 22, 1862 in Dover on September 03, 1862 Mustered into 'Batty I' Co. Michigan 1st Artillery Musterd out on July 14, 1865 at Detroit, Michigan Died on Septenber 03 1900 in Hastings, Michigan.

Enlisted 01/13/1864. Discharged, 07/22/1865, Detroit, MI.

His headstone bears '1 MICH. L.A.', also what appears to be 'CO. M.'
