Martin is my Great-Great-Grandfather. Below is the info from the 182nd Roster
BATTLE, MARTIN - Age 16 years. Enlisted, September 22, 1862, at New York City, to serve three years; mustered in as musician, Co. G, November 17, 1862; mustered out with company, July 15, 1865, near Washington, D.C.
Martin died at age 51-52 on October 27, 1898 in NYC. The NY Times reported that he dropped dead at the Produce Exchange where he was a grain inspector. It was also reported when he came home he used his drum as a gripsack.
