Enlisted just prior and participated at Gettysburg till the end of the war. His grandfather also Elisha Geer from Lake George NY fought and was killed in the war of 1812, 23rd NY Militia at the Battle of Plattsburgh, and his father Roger Geer was in the Connecticut Militia 23 months in the RevWar.
Elisha is a Jamestown and Mayflower Decsendant.
