I am anxiously trying to get information regarding the 11th SC Infantry, Co. E that my ancestor served under. He was enlisted in 1864 and ended up captured in Petersburg, VA. He was imprisoned at Elmira, NY. Would like to know what their flag also looked like. I am a member of the Texas Society Order of Confederate Rose and am very proud of my ancestry. My brother and my husband are members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Any information that can be forwarded to me is greatly appreciated.
