My Great, Great, Great Grandfather was 3rd. Lt. Thomas A. Baswell he was in company B-South Carolina Vol 13th Regiment

Footnote lists Simeon T. Johnson and Simeon P. Johnson as the same person, both names appear on footnote documents.

Manning A. Wilson was born in 1838 and enlisted in 1861 at the age of 23 at the Spartanburg County Courthouse. He served throughout the duration of the war and was wounded in the chest by a min ball at the Battle of Wilderness which he survived.

Manning enlisted in the 13rd Regiment, Co. H, which was renamed Co. B.

Manning was surrendered by General Robert E. Lee along with the Army of Northern Virginia at Appomattax Courthouse, Appomattax, Va on April 11, 1865. He was married to Nancy Jane Wilson, his cousin and lived near Conestee/Reidville/Gantt Townships. Manning died sometime after 1910 while living with his son, Itson Austin Wilson and Drucilla Leather-Wilson in Gantt.

Was discharged shortly after enlistment due Typhoid Fever, April 1861 - July 1861

Martin was born 28 May 1819 in Barnwell District of South Carolina. He was about 43 y/o when he enlisted on 7 Jan 1862 in Co G, 13th So. Car. Infantry. Enlisting at Camp Hampton near Columbia at Lightwood Know Springs for the war. Co G was known as {DeKalb Guards] He has 7 cards in his archival file. On 1 April 1862 the regiment was ordered to Virginia where they were assigned to General Greggs and McGowen's Brigade. Battles: Seven days, Gains Mill, Frayser's Farm, 2nd Manassas, Gettysburg, Fredericksburg, Wilderness, Chancellorsville, Spotsylvania, Deep Bottom, Fussell's Mill, Poplar Springs. He was paroled at Appomattox Court House on 9 April 1865. He moved to Union County, Arkansas where he died about 5 months later on19 Sept 1865. It is obvious that the war had taken its toll. He is buried beside his wife in Bethel Methodist Church Cem. at El Dorado, Union Co. Ark. He was the father- in- law of my 3rd cousin 4 x removed.

F B Moss is my great great grandfather from Gowensville, SC.Enlisted at Frog Level, SC. He named one of his sons after his commanding officer, Capt, William Lester.

David was 17 when he enlisted in Spartanburg,SC on September 1862, fought in every battle of AP Hill's Division, was wounded at The Wilderness died 26 days later after amputation of left leg.

William along with his three other brothers enlisted in Spartanburg county,in September of 1862. Died at Ellisons Mill June 1862 in the opening days of the Battle of the Seven Days.

John Griffin survived the War and performed extra duty as a Blacksmith

Fowler Hembree assigned to the 13th SC Reg't on or about September 3, 1861. Reported as a casualty in the second battle of Manassas, VA., Aug 29, 1862. Wound resulted in the amputation of his right arm. At home on wounded furlough Sep. 3, 1861.

Died a prisoner of war on November 26, 1863 at Fort Delaware, Delaware.
