M.L. (FAYTE) McCRARY WAS MY GREAT 1/2 UNCLE, MY PATERNAL GRANDMOTHER'S 1/2 BROTHER. HE WAS WOUNDED AT FT. DONELSON,WHERE HE WAS WITH MANEY'S BATTALION. HIS FATHER PICKED HIM UP IN A WAGON, TOOK HIM HOME TO HUMPHREYS COUNTY, TN. WHEN HE WAS WELL, HE REJOINED HIS UNIT.
AT THE END OF THE WAR, HIS SERVICE RECORDS SAY HE WAS PAROLED AT MEMPHIS, TN JUNE 10, 1865. AT THAT TIME HIS SERVICE RECORDS SAY HE WAS WITH THE 10TH TN CAV , CO. F, AS LT.
HE WAS THE SON OF NEELEY DOBSON McCRARY AND THE HUSBAND OF NANNIE GOSSETT McCRARY. HE DIED BEFORE 1870 AS A RESULT OF HIS INJURIES.

James J Thompson - 3rd Corporal
James was 19 y/o when he enlisted 7 Dec 1862 at Waverley, Humphries, Tenn. Enlisted by Col. Johnson for the war. Elected to 3rd Corporal in Co. E. He was paroled at Gainsville, Ala. in May 1865. He was 1st Sgt. in Co F 10th & 11th Tenn. Cavalry. He died 17 Aug. 1901 in Dickson Co. Tenn. James was my 2nd cousin 3 times removed.

William Davidson enlisted in the Confederate Army about Dec. 1, 1862,Paris, Tn, in Company I under Captain Alexander, Co. I being under Col. Napiers battalion. In the spring of 1863 the batallions of Napier and Cox were formed into the 10th TN Regiment. William went into Company G under Capt Easley, Coxs' Regiment 10th TN Cavalry, General Forrest. Surrendered with Forrest Army.
