William P Covington - 4th Corporal
William was born in Henry County, Tenn. He was enlisted in the aforementioned county on 29 Nov. 1861 by Col. John M Clark. He was captured on 8 April 1862 on Island #10. and sent to Camp Butler near Springfield, Illinois. Death and disease including an outbreak of Measles decimated prisoners. On 23 Sept he was sent to Vicksburg for exchange. The regiment was merged with the 55th Regiment [Brown's] This is where his records end. He died 11 Feb 1876. He was my 1st cousin 4 x removed.

Robert Morrison Patterson - Sergeant
My GGGF was captured at Island #10, paroled at Vicksburg, MS. and fought throughout the war. He was realeased at Greensboro NC and reportedly walked home to Tennessee. He Lived to age 60 and is buried in the Methodist cemetery in Dotsonville, TN.

Joined Company 'K' at Paris, Tn. 29 Nov. 1861, captured at Island #10 Apr. 8, 1862 , sent to Camp Douglas near Chicago, Ill., exchanged, 23 Sept. 1862, promoted to
Sgt. of Co. 'E', 30 Sept. 1862. Wounded and captured at Ezra Church, Ga., 28 July 1864,
during the Atlanta Campaign, sent to Camp Douglas again and spent the remainder
of the war a POW. (His wound resulted in amputation of his right arm). He bore all
of the hardships of the unit through the entire war. He was born, 15 Sept. 1841,
Calloway Co., Ky., son of John Brent Wilson and Sarah Elizabeth Kelly, died 21 March 1936,
Conyersville, Henry Co., Tn. He is buried in the Hazel Cemetery, Calloway Co., Ky.
Married Mrs. Martha (Cochran) Blane in 1870, (the widow of George Blane).
