B. 1839. D. 24 Jun 1862. Buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, VA. Soldiers Section O, lot 237. 22 years old when he enlisted.

August Sullivan, 22, also served in the same unit.

Probably was killed at the Battle of Seven Pines although the official commencemnt is shown to be on June 25th - July 1, 1862. Location Henrico County, Virginia. Seeing as he was a Cavalryman, he might have engaged Federal forces while scouting the area prior to the battle. The Seven Days Battles was a series of six major battles over the seven days from June 25 to July 1, 1862, near Richmond, Virginia.

He was captured on July 2, 1863 during the Battle of Gettysburg and was a POW for the remainder of the war. After the war he worked as a carpenter for the railroad. He died in 1888 of pneumonia. Buried at Methodist Cemetery in Shenandoah, VA.

James joined on 17 June 1861 at Conrads Store, Rockingham County, Virginia. He was wounded severely in the hand at the Battle of Gettysburg on 3 July 1863. He was taken prisoner on 12 May 1864 near Spottsylvania and taken to Point Lookout, Maryland. He was transferred to Elmira, New York and was released in a prisoner exchange on 29 October 1864.
