My great-great-grand uncle Henry Jones mustered in at Racine, WI on December 24, 1862. He mustered-out in Madison, WI on July 8, 1865. He contracted an unspecified lung disease during the Siege of Savannah. He died on May 24, 1894 still ailing from the disease in South Wayne, Lafayette County, WI. He is buried in the Bethel-Hawthorne cemetery in Clarno (Monroe), Green County, WI with a military gravestone.
