Looking for Gettysburg veterans.

Without comparing company muster rolls I have to wonder how many men would want to reenlist. From the Daily Journal, Montpelier VT, October 5, 1863.

Captain Lewis L. Coburn.

Hi Larry,

You have to wonder the motivation of these Civil War Veteran Soldiers, what their motivation was? Certainly not just the pay? They had to feel a deeper obligation to save the Union or other noble reasons?

Hey this article is from Oct. 5th, 1863, so it qualifies as a "this day in history"? Visited Montpelier, Vt. just over a year ago, a small but beautiful capital, lots of history there!

Thanks for posting,
MD
