Enlisted August 24, 1861 in White County, Ga. Appears on Register of Recieving and Wayside Hospital, or General Hospital No. 9, Richmond, Va. Admitted August 7, 1864. Date August 8, 1864. Disposition- Jackson. Register Jackson Hospital Richmond, Va. Brigade- Wofford. Diagnosis- Diarrhea, Chronic. Admitted August 8, 1864 and returned to duty August 24, 1864. Captured at Strasburg, Va on October 19, 1864. Appears on roll of prisoners at Harper's Ferry, West Va captured by Sheridan's Forces. Sent to Point Lookout October 24, 1864. Arrived at Point Lookout Prison October 28, 1864. Exchanged February 13, 1865. Appears on a Report of Prisoners of War, belonging to the Army of Northern Virginia, who have been this day surrendered by General Robert E. Lee, CSA, commanding said Army, to Lt. General U.S. Grant Commanding Armies of the United States. Done at Appomattox Court House, Va April 9, 1865.
