SIMEON BROOK FORBES - Corporal   
Simeon enlisted at the age of 47. He had light hair,blue eyes and was six foot. He was discharged on 8 MAR 1862 for diability. He died shortly after. Simeon was born in Butler Co., Ohio and lived in Iowa before moving to Illinois shortly before the war. A farmer he had 11 children and was married to Margaret Wells.
