George enlisted at Running Brushey, Williamson County, Texas on 25 Sept. 1862 for 3 years. He was enroled by Capt. R.W. McKee. His horse was valued at $180.00 and his equipmeht $35.00. He is 24 years old. His file only has three cards. At one point it sems that his unit became attached to 2 Corps Army of the Mississippi.
His unit was known as Capt. Ruben W. McKee's Co. 3rd Regt. Arizona Brigade Mounted Partisan Rangers, Phillip's Regt. and Co. D Madison's Reg't. Texas Cavalry.

William was born 22 Nov 1843 in Morgan Co. Missouri. On the 1860 census he is 17 years old and living in Lampasas, Texas. He applied and received a CSA pension from that town in 1909 approved 1 June 1914 for 50$ per month as he was married. His pension was reduced to $25 when his wife died. He lived to be 97 and dying 8 Nov 1940. Serving in Co F Madison's Regiment Texas Cavalry, Capt. Kennedys Co. Mounted Partisan Rangers. aka 3rd Reg't. Arizona Brigade Phillip's. He has two CMR's in his archival file. He enlisted at Belton, Bell Co. Texas. In his pension records the names Mullin's Brigade, aka Major's and Col Madison as well as Green's Division and a reference to the 27th Brigade 2nd regiment is noted by witnesses to his pension application. He was the husband of my 2nd cousin 3 x removed. Sallie Ann Frances Everett b. 21 Feb 1851 & died 30 July 1935 in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co. Texas.

Henry is being entered here because their is no unit for his Brigade: CO F Baird's Regiment Texas Cavalry [ 4th Arizona Brigade Showalters's Regiment. He enlisted when unit was formed Feb 1863 by Col Spruce McCoy Baird & composed of men from New Mexico, Arizona and California composed of 2 Battalions. His CMR show the following. 14 Jan 1864 appointed 2nd Lieut.16 Feb 1864 on detached recruiting service, 22 April 1864 appointed to rank of Captain. Apr 1864 Present: Commanding. June 1864 at Ring Barracks, Aug 1864 Richmond Station absent on Recruiting duty. Nov 1864 at Camp Hood. He was born in North Carolina & died 23 Jan 1874 in Richmond, Fort Bend County Texas. He was the Maternal Grand Father of wife on my 4th cousin 3 times removed.
