William Green Hill - Captain |
|
William Green Hill served as a JP in Kaufman Co. Texas from 1858 to 1860. Originally Wm. Green Hill had been a 1st Lt. in Company C of the 20th Texas Cav. Joining that Regiment in March of 1862, however, he was discharged from the 20th in July of 1862 due to the Conscription Law. In December 1862 he joined Company A of the 37th Texas Cav. and was eventually elected to Captain of said company and served in this capacity to the end of the war.
