James Boyd Muldrow - Private |
James enlisted in 1863 in Leander McNelly's Scouts & Tom Green Brigade Cavalry. He was born in 1824. He was about 33 years old. I have not found his archival records but his second wife Louisiana "Lou" Holloway applied from McLennen for a CSA pension on 18 Oct 1912. and approved 1 Sept 1913. which shows the following. He served in the CSA Navy called the Cotton Clads in the battle of Galveston Bay. The regiment played a major part in the Red River Campaign in Louisiana and Arkansas. Battles included Mansfield, Pleasant Hill, Blairs Landing etc. He was the 3rd cousin 4 x removed. I am entering this here as their is no other place to put this. Deo Vindice
