My great great grandmother married Daniel A. Proctor. Daniel was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 17, 1843, migrated with his parents to Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin in 1849. At Ft. Atkinson he enlisted in Company A of the Fourth Wisconsin infantry. He was captured and imprisoned in Liby Prison being released from Liby prison on October 28, 1866, this according to his obituary, in the Rockford, Illinois Morning Star, dated August 19, 1921. His military headstone lists him as a member of the Wisconsin calvary?
