Promoted to Full Bugler on 1 Mar 1864. Wounded severely 7 Jun 1864, near Ripley, Miss. Mustered Out Company E, 3rd Cavalry Regiment Iowa on 9 Aug 1865 at Atlanta, GA. Married Lucretia Ann Gabriel 29 Sep 1876 in Cooke, TX. Moved to Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory in 1889 where he was a pioneer of what is now Oklahoma. He is registered as a First Family of the Twin Territories (Indian Territory and Oklahoma Territory). Fathered four children. He was a Mason. As an ordained Minister Wesley preached to the Choctaw Nation in Indian Territory. He was also a successful farmer. Wesley died 10 Jun 1930 in Oklahoma City, OK. There is a biography about him in 'A History of the State of Oklahoma, 1908, Vol. 1.'
