Benton Badgley - Private   
1st Enlistment 1861, Corporal, Company K, 48th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Wounded at Battle of Shiloh and Discharged September, 1862.

2nd Enlistment 1864, Private, Company G, 175th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Was killed when the Steamship SULTANA exploded on the Mississippi River in 1865. The SULTANA was overloaded with soldiers returning home who had just been released from Rebel prisons in a prisoner exchange. Benton Badgley was prisoner at Andersonville. Captured November 25, 1864

Stacy Morris was my Grandfather 4 generations back. He went down with the ship Sultana on the Mississippi River in April 1865.
