My great great grandfather. Took a bullet in Oregon while scouting in Indian territory. Wound up being groundskeeper at Arlington National Cemetery. My great grandfather, as a result, was born in a cemetery.

my great-great grandfather joined at fort vancouver in 1863. he served in co. g and marched all over the nw. his wife had a baby at fort dalles, but his company was on their way to red river, where co. g spent most of their time.
