He returned to duty later and appeared on a register of St Mary's Hospital, La Grange, GA, 14 Feb 1864. He reported to duty on 16 Feb 1864. He died in 1865 and is listed on the Civil War monument in the courthouse yard in Marshall Co, TN, among those who died in service. He was b 1823, d 1865, son of Willis and Phoebe Collins, Dist 1, Marshall Co, TN, m 1 Mar 1843, Marshall Co, TN Jane Houze, b 1818, dau of Green S and Elizabeth Houze of Dist 1, Marshall Co, TN.
