Musician
Francis was a Drummer with 7th US Infantry Company H 1828-1830. He also was on the Revenue Cutter George Bibb during the Mexican War and Vol PA 61st drummer during the Civil War. He contracted Typhoid in Alexandreia 1861. According to pension records, he suffered greatly for 30 years and was completely deaf due to Typhoid and no treatment. His wife stated he came home fromthe war a wreck of a man.
