William Marion David Bardin was from Coffee, County,AL and he was on the Muster Roll of the Coffee & Dale Grays dated 7th September 1861. His Name was listed as W. D. M. Barden. He was listed in a book called 'A LIST OF TROOPS WHO SERVED IN TENN UNITS AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER'. He served through the war.

Joined 54th Dec 1863 at Canton, MS. He served until the end of the war. Was paroled on June 15, 1865 at Union Springs, AL. He was never a prisoner of war.

John D. Hudson is my great grandfather. He was initially a 1st. Lieutenant of Co. H, 40th Tennesse infantry and was captured at Island #10. He was traded at Vicksburg and became a 1st. Lieutenant, Co. A, 54th Alabama infantry. He lost his right arm at the battle of Atlanta during a skirmish on Lick Skillett Road on July 28,1864, recieving a medical discharge from the Confederate army.

James W. Headrick was my ggg grandfather. Formerly Company 'A', 40th Tennessee Infantry with Major Hiram Harrison Higgins. Organized by special orders 59, Jackson, Mississippi, September 29, 1862.

Edward was born 23 Sep 1828 and died 5 Sep 1906.

Brother to Henry T. Lindsey

Joined Aug 1861 in Montgomery, AL as a 2nd LT. Rank out was 1st LT. Buried in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Jachin, Choctaw County, AL.

Have pension applications, admission slip to hospital at Selma following Atlanta, was discharged with Johnston in NC.

Drury was born 9 Jan 1831 in Georgia. The 1860 census has him at age 28 in Coosa County, Ala. He has 5 cards in his archival but only 3 are his. The archival card says he enlisted 15 Dec at Memphis however I think this is an error and he enlisted in Coosa County. He applied for a received a CSA Pension as did his wife [Sarah Jane Bulger] after his death. He was wounded in the shoulder at Peachtree Creek in Georgia. He died 12 Dec 1902 at Rockford, Coosa County, Ala. Buried at the Concord Methodist Church at Hissop, Coosa County.

Doing my husband's family tree and ran across some info on http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=ultimatepa&id=I09023 This would be his 3rd great Grandfather on his Paternal Grandfather's side.

George is buried in Hudson Cemetery in Limestone,Co. Alabama.

My great-great grandfather joined and served his first year with 40th Tennessee and then with Co. K Regiment 54,Baker's Brigade at Island No. 10 and escaped capture. He caught up with Baker's Brigade at Vicksburg and fought until his capture near Altanta, GA August 7, 1864. He was in prison at Camp Chase until relase June 11, 1865. He died December 25, 1927 and is buried in Como, Texas.
