This was my great grandfather. He originally enlisted on 22 FEB 1862 in Company K of the 25th Arkansas Infantry at St. Charles, AR. Later on 18 NOV 1862,because he was a Blacksmith he was transferred to the 1st when it was known as Humphrey's Battery and later as River's Battery. He was later captured on 3 SEP 1864 when Atlanta surrendered.
