8th California Infantry

Also shown as Atchinson. Enlisted in the 8th Regiment California Infantry on November 18th, 1864, at Watsonville Ca. He died on duty at Fort Point, San Francisco, Ca. on January 5th, 1865. National Park Service records show he died of Typhoid Fever.

While serving in company 'H' with the 8th California Infantry at one time he was serving on Alcatraz Island.
