My ancestor and 3 of his brothers served in this unit from Indiana. One of his bother died while serving.

I do have a copy of the discharge paper, though it's difficult to read the name in the 'Captain' field..

Died Jul 1899 in Battle Creek, MI. Buried in Odd Fellows Cem, Sullivan Co, IN.

John Amos Gray (b. 1845-1911) was the great-grandson of Daniel Gray (b. 1749-1843) a Revolutionary War soldier. John enlisted in 1862 at Gosport, IN. He fought in numerous battles, including Corinth and Vicksburg, where he was wounded in the arm. He was married twice, with 3 sons and 2 daughters. He was a farmer until the death of his first wife, after which he became a travelling salesman. He met and married his second wife in Illinois and they afterwards ran a boarding house and restaurant for the millworkers in an Illinois town across the river from St. Louis, MO. While in Indiana visiting his daughter from his first marriage, he suffered a heart attack and entered the National Military Home in Grant, IN, where he died. He was buried in the family cemetery in IN next to his first wife.

Joseph was born in Lebanon Pa, 1828 he moved to Indiana 1854 married Elizabeth Borders 1856 they had 10 children. They lived in Mineral Indiana 3 1/2 miles south east of Bloomfield. He was a town Marshal after the war.

Charles H. McBride lived in Greene Co., Indiana; enlisted at Wright, Indiana; after the war moved to Rushville, Nebraska.

Isaac died in a field hospital in Huntsville, AL. in April of 1864. His body was later moved to the National Military Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN. in 1867. He had lived near Tulip, IN.
