OLD SOLDIER DIES George K. Phebus of Railway St, Covington, Indiana aged 66, died at his home from a complication of diseases. Mr. Phebus was a member of Co. H 150th Regiment Indiana Vols., serving during the civil war. George was born Dec 1 1848 and died June 25 1915, He married Anna A Smith, July 27, 1874. To them were born 7 children, all of whom with the wife and mother survive. Parents Lewis Phebus, Jr. and Charity Schnorf.

Encampment held in Crawfordsville in May of 1909. Presented by Mrs. Elizabeth Wainscott of Crawfordsville. Badge belonged to her father, Mr. George Ocheltree of the 150th Indiana Infantry.' Elizabeth Wainscott was my mother's mother. I recently was sent a scanned copy of George's Army Discharge. He entered the Army 11 Feb. 1865 at Indianapolis, Indiana and was discharged at Stevenson's Station, Virginia 5 Aug. 1865.
