William h Dairy was the first son of James Henry Dairy. William enlisted in the army around 1863 - his mustered out date unknown. Little is known or could be found out about William , except he remained in Iowa, and died inCouncil Bluffs Iowa May 11,1925

Enlisted as a Private on 4 July 1861 at the age of 46. Died of accidental gun shot wound 22 Feb 1863 at Vicksburg, MS His son John, a son-inlaw and 4 nephews also died in the Civil War

Enlisted as a Private on 6 October 1864 at the age of 42. Enlisted in Company C, 4th Infantry Regiment Iowa on 6 Oct 1864. Died Company C, 4th Infantry Regiment Iowa on 19 May 1865 at Davenport, IA. (Second cousin of Braxton Bragg.)

According to David's Civil War Widow's Pension Records, David died of Typhoid Fever Jan. 1862 in Phelps County, Rolla Missouri. He enlisted in Leon Ia, 1861 and Mustered into the Civil War at the Jefferson Barracks, MO. He also had a brother James A. Davis who was in the same Infantry and Company who died in 1864.

Samuel H. JAMES, b. abt. 1835, IN; d. 11 March 1862, killed in action in Tennessee at the Battle of Pea Ridge (Elkhorn Tavern). Pvt., Co. E, 4th Iowa Infantry Rgt. died of wounds received at Pea Ridge, Ark. Son of John J. James and Mary ''Polly'' Carroll. Brother to Union veterans John C. James and Elisha R. James. Nathan Harlan enlisted as a Private in Company F of the 4th Iowa Infantry on July 10, 1861. He was wounded in the hand at Chickasaw Bayou December 29 1862. He was then transferred to Invalid Corps.

Promoted to Fifth Corporal on 28 October 1864. Promoted to Third Corporal on 19 December 1864. Promoted to First Corporal on 1 July 1865. Mustered out on 24 July 1865 at Louisville, KY.

Enlisted as a Private on 28 October 1861 at the age of 18. Mustered in Company I, 4th Infantry Regiment Iowa on 9 November 1861. Discharged on 22 January 1862 at Rolla, MO.
